On On Sunday afternoon, the Lake County Captains and Dayton Dragons played game three of their four game series and it was all Dragons as they pummeled the Captains 8-3 in front of a nice Sunday crowd of 5,071 at Classic Park.

Things did go well for Lake County starter Brady Aiken. Two of the first three pitched Aiken threw left the ball park for home runs. Randy Ventura and Jose Siri were two hitters that victimized Aiken. The home run for Ventura was his first of the season and Siri's long ball was his 20th.

Things really didn't get any better for Aiken from that point on as he surrendered eight runs total, six earned on five hits and he issued four base on balls and struck out two in his three and one third innings of work. Aiken now has 92 base on balls for the season, which is a team record. The big lefty blew past Trey Haley who issued 86 base on balls in 2010. Trey still hold the Captains all-time career walk record with 159 over three (2009, 10, 11) seasons.

On a positive note offensively Conner hit his 21st home run. When Capel hit his 20th home run on Friday night he joined Emmanuel Tapia in a 2 man club. Capel and Tapia became the only two Captains to hit 20 or more home runs in the same season in team history.

Aiken was charged with today's loss and falls to 5-13 with a 5.06 ERA. Dayton starter Wennington Romero picked up the win. Romero pitched six innings, allowing three runs, all earned on six hits and struck out nine. With the win Romero improves to 4-10 with a 5.20 ERA.

Two teams will finish the three-game set on Monday night at 7:00 p.m. Lefty Scott Moss will be on the mound for the Dragons. Moss, is 12-6 3.48. Juan Hillman will make the start for the Captains. Hillman, also a lefty is 6-8 with a 5.98 ERA
