The Fairport Harding Skippers traveled to Burton to take on the Berkshire Badgers in a non-conference battle. The Badgers were not great hosts as they sunk the Skippers 48-8.

The game started good defensively for both the Skippers and the Badgers as nobody scored until the Badgers 33-yard touchdown run with 3:52 left in the 1st quarter to give the Badgers a 7-0 lead after they converted the extra point.

The Badgers were tough on defense as were the Skippers in the second quarter until the Badgers scored with 6:20 left in the making the score 14-0. The Skippers then fumbled the kickoff, and the Badgers converted the turnover into points increasing their lead to 21-0 with 4:21 left in the half.

After a rough start offensively, the Skippers got on the board with a 12 Yard touchdown pass to Senior tight end Dillon Knesbeck from Junior quarterback Gabe Lawson. Lawson was a bright spot for the Skippers in the loss as he played tough and made some very difficult passes look easy. The first half ended 21-8.

In the third quarter With 10:28 left on the clock in the Badgers ran 16 yards for the touchdown extending the lead to 28-8. Just 5 minutes later the Badgers scored again on a 28-yard run extending their lead to 35-8 ending the third quarter scoring. The final quarter wasn't easy for the Skippers, as they had multiple guys injured during the contest and it continued to show as Berkshire eventually increased the lead to 41-8 with 9:38 left in the game. The Badgers were not finished just yet as they scored one more time with .50 seconds left. The final score was 48-8 Berkshire.

The Skippers are home next Friday to take on the Cardinal Huskies in a non-conference affair at 7 pm.
