Indians and Cubs play to 1-1 tie
The The Indians (1-0-1) and Chicago Cubs played to a 1-1 draw on Sunday in front of a sold out crowd in Mesa’s Sloan Park.
The Indians plated their lone run in the 4th inning after Tyler Naquin doubled to lead off the frame and eventually scored on a Carlos Santana ground out. Danny Salazar (2.0IP, 1H, 0R, 1BB, 3SO) was sharp in his spring debut and five Tribe relievers (Nick Goody, Kyle Crockett, Tyler Olson, Hoby Milner, Josh Martin) chipped in scoreless frames to preserve the 1-1 tie.
The Indians will take on the Texas Rangers on Monday, February 27 in Goodyear Ballpark with RHP Carlos Carrasco taking the hill against RHP Chi Chi Gonzalez for the Rangers. The game can be heard via webcast on Indians.com.
