Skippers stop rival St. John 42-20

The Fairport Harding Skippers dominated the St. John Heralds Friday night by a score of 42-20. The Skippers Improved to 4-1 on the Season and will have a rematch for the conference championship against Pymatuning Valley who beat the Skippers last week.

The Skippers scored early on in the game on a pass from Sophomore QB Will Fazekas to Junior WR Dillon Knesebeck to make the score 7-0 Fairport. 

The Heralds would score to make the score 7-6 when they failed to convert the extra point. 
Early in the 2nd quarter Will Fazekas rushed 1 yard to make the score 14-6. Fairport recovered the fumble then on the kickoff but fail to score. 
The Skippers got on the board again with 4:32 seconds left in the 2nd quarter on a Will Fazekas TD pass too Dillon Knesebeck yet again making the lead 21-6 Skippers. 

The Skippers scored one more time in the half on another Will Fazekas TD pass but this time too Junior WR Tai Malone for 14 yards pushing the lead to 28-6. 

But before the half would end the Heralds would put up their 2nd touchdown making it 28-12 at half time. 

Early in the 3rd quarter Skippers QB Will Fazekas would rush for a 3-yard td to improve the Skipper lead to 35-12. Then about halfway through the 4th quarter Fairport backup QB Sophomore Gabe Lawson scored on a 5-yard TD run making the score 42-12. 

The Heralds scored late in the 4th quarter to put a cap on the scoring. 

The Skippers will be away next Friday October 2nd playing Pymatuning Valley in Andover for the conference championship at 7pm.
