(MANTUA, OH) — Coming off an emotional home game, the Raiders took on the Crestwood Red Devils in a Week 6 Matchup!
Harvey started the night as they usually do, handing the football off to their two headed mon-ster in the backfield, Shahn Alston, and Chris Burt. The Raiders scored on their first two drives; the second drive was capped off by a 59-yard run by Alston where he ran over a Dev-ils defender.
The defense dominated all night, with Manny Toure and Davon Badley leading the assault, so the Raiders had opportunities to diversify the offensive plan. Senior quarterback Cavon Wise did a good job of getting the ball into his playmakers' hands, hitting Alston for an 11-yard TD Pass, as well as connecting with fellow Senior, Davon Badley, for an 80-yard TD Pass.
When half time came, the Raiders were up 29-0.
But they were not done.
The third quarter started with Ish Jackson taking the kick to the house, another three and out forced by the defense, and sophomore RB Chris Burt getting his own 60-yard TD run!
43-0 Raiders.
Head Coach Mickey Mohner then went to his reserves.
The Red Devils managed a couple scores, but to cap things off, Alston took the kickoff after one of those Crestwood scores, all the way for another Special Teams Score!
49-16 Raiders over the Red Devils.
It was a great win for the Raiders who bring their record to even heading into week 7! If the defensive secondary continues to sure up their play, and the offense keeps cooking, the Raiders could finish strong coming down the stretch!
With the win the Red Raiders move to 3-3 on the season and host Grand Valley next Friday at 7 pm at Jack Britt Stadium.
