Storm destroys Salem International 14-0
(PAINESVILLE, OH) - The Lake Erie College women's soccer team used an offensive outburst to improve to 4-0 on the year with a 14-0 win over the Salem International University Tigers on Thursday.

Eight different players found the back of the net in the game for the Storm. Lake Erie tied a school record with 14 goals and set a new school record with ten assists.

Early in the game, Elizabeth Auwah scored on a shot from the box. In the 19th minute, Ashley Pryce added another goal. In the 23rd minute, Aleeya Clemons and Kynslie Murphy combined for three goals in a minute. Clemons added a third goal late in the first half as the Storm led 6-0 at the half.

Pryce, Murphy and Auwah opened the second half with their second goals of the game. In the 63rd minute, Clemons set a new Lake Erie record with her fourth goal of the game. Deanna Hill , Becca Cornell , Jordan Jernigan and Sydney Nemec all scored goals in the final twenty minutes.

Clemons led the way with four goals in the game. Murphy, Pryce and Awuah all scored two each along with an assist each. Elizabeth Cornell assisted on three goals for Lake Erie.

Lake Erie will open GLIAC play with a home match at Jack Britt Memorial Stadium on Sunday (Sept. 18) against Walsh.
