Tanker & Honkala lead Skippers to blow out win over Chalker 80-52

The The Fairport Harding Skippers welcomed the Chalker Wildcats for home Conference game Tuesday night.  It was lopsided early, but in the end the Skipper won going away 80-52.

Early in in the first quarter the Wildcats started out hot making five of their first six shots making the score 12-7 as the Skippers struggled to make shots early. The Wildcats continued to shoot the ball well in the first and led 27-17 at the end of the quarter. 

This changed as the Skippers heated up and the Wildcats became as cool as the North Pole. The Skippers outscored the Wildcats 16-5 in the 2nd quarter.  Giving the Skippers a 33-32 halftime lead. The leading scorer at the half was Skipper's Junior Joe Tanker with 12 points.  The junior also had 3 assists and 4 rebounds in the first half. 

The Skippers continued their pace shooting in the 3rd quarter, again scoring 17 points in the quarter and only giving up 4 playing amazing defense. Leading the great defense was Junior Josiah Cooper who had 4 steals in the quarter. They led the Wildcats 50-36 at the end of the 3rd 

Then came the 4th quarter and the Skippers were hotter then the Arizona desert in the middle of the summer as they scored 30 points. Led by Senior Dom Trusty and Junior Sam Honkala who were draining shot after shot. Honkala was the game's leading scorer.
