The first quarter ended with the Skippers up 6-0. Just five seconds into the second quarter the Skippers scored again on a 1-yard touchdown run by Senior Christian Palmer adding to their lead at 12-0. Palmer then Safetied the Heralds running back to give the Skippers a 14-0 advantage. There was not much scoring in the second half. On the very first play Piotrowski picked off the Heralds QB but the Skippers were unable to take advantage of the turnover. The first and only points of the game for the Heralds was on a 67-yard touchdown pass to make it 22-6 with 6:35 left in the third quarter. The only other action in the game was a nice one-handed interception by Senior Defensive Lineman Ryan Heji. The Skippers prevailed 22-6. They will play the same St. John Heralds next week at Spire Institute in Geneva kickoff 7 p.m.
