Indians storm back to beat Royals 7-6 

The The Indians (7-7-1) defeated the Kansas City Royals, 7-6, in Goodyear Ballpark on Saturday afternoon.

The Indians stormed back from a 4-0 deficit in the bottom of the 7th inning, plating all 7 of their runs in the frame off Bobby Parnell and Chris Withrow on a 2-run home run from Richie Shaffer and grand slam from Francisco Mejia. Danny Salazar (4.0IP, 2H, 0R, 1BB, 6SO) was sharp in his 4th start of the spring, lowering his Cactus League ERA to 2.61 (10.1IP/3ER). Dan Otero and Carlos Frias chipped in scoreless innings. Minor League infielder Mark Mathias was carted off the field in the 9th inning with a dislocated left shoulder.

On Sunday, March 12 the Indians will take on the San Diego Padres in Peoria, AZ at 1:10 PM MST/4:10 PM EDT. RHP Corey Kluber will make his second official start against RHP Jered Weaver for the Padres. The game can be heard on WTAM 1100, the Indians Radio Network and Indians.com.
