Indians fall to Angels 5-4 

The Indians (5-7-1) fell to the Los Angeles Angels, 5-4, in Goodyear Ballpark on Thursday afternoon.


JOSH TOMLIN (3.2IP, 3H, 0R, 0BB, 1SO) was sharp in his first Cactus League start as the Indians got a 2-run single from RONNY RODRIGUEZ in the second inning and solo homers from AUSTIN JACKSON (spring debut) and TYLER NAQUIN in the 3rd and 7th innings, respectively. JASON KIPNIS was 1-for-3 in his spring debut as the designated hitter.



The Indians will travel to Scottsdale tomorrow, Friday, March 10th to take on the San Francisco Giants at 1:05 PM MT/3:05 PM ET. RHP TREVOR BAUER (1-0, 0.00) will take on LHP MADISON BUMGARNER for the Giants. The game can be heard on Indians.com
