Skippers blast past Rockets 101-36

The Fairport Harding Skippers hosted the Maplewood Rockets Friday night and dominated the game in every aspect completing a 101-36 win.

Early on in the first quarter you could see Fairport had their A game and younger and smaller Rockets were outmatched. The Skippers started the game on a 19-2 Run Rocketing them into the 17 point lead. Skippers Senior Chris Peoples had 5 Assists in the first quarter and Junior Sam Honkala led the team in scoring with 9 points. The Quarter ended with Skippers on top 24-9.

The Skippers stayed hot in the second as they had three guys with double digit points at the half Junior Sam Honkala with 16 led the team and Senior Chris Peoples had 15 also Junior Joey Tanker had 14. Fairport went into the half with a 47-23 lead. 

The Skippers continued their fiery first half in the third quarter when they outscored the Rockets 35-4. Skippers Senior Chris Peoples finished the quarter with 21 points 14 Rebounds and 10 Assists on the game giving him a triple double in just three quarters and the Skippers were up 82-27. 

Going into the fourth quarter the Skippers were still hotter then a middays sun in August they only scored 19 in the quarter shooting 85%. Chris People's ended the game with 21 points 18 Rebounds and 14 Assists. The Skipper won the game 101-36.
