Cleveland Cavaliers 2025-26 Schedule released
Including 24 Nationally Televised games, and Christmas Day

(CLEVELAND, OH) - Today the National Basketball Association announced their full 2025-26 schedule. The Cleveland Cavaliers are front and center as they will be featured 24 times on national television.
The 2024-25 Cavaliers fell short of expectations in the postseason after winning 64 games in the regular season but were eliminated by the Indiana Pacers in the second round 4-1. The Cavaliers, however, the preseason favorite to win the Eastern Conference in 25-26.
The schedule begins with the Cavs opening on October 22nd in New York against the Knicks at Madison Square Garden. That game will be broadcast on ESPN, it will be the first of 24 nationally televised games the Cavs will be a part of during the regular season.
The Cavs home opener at Rocket Arena will be on October 26th at 6 pm as they host the new look Milwaukee Bucks.
The Cavs will appear nationally on all cable & streaming platforms and also on NBC & ABC. The Cavs game with the Detroit Pistons in Detroit on October 27th will make broadcasting history as the game will be the first NBA game ever to appear exclusively on Peacock which is NBC’s streaming partner.
The Cavs will make seven appearances on ESPN, three on ESPN/ABC, five games on NBC/Peacock, five games exclusively on Peacock and four games exclusively on Amazon Prime.
The Cavs will play for the first time on Christmas Day since 2017 when they travel again to Madison Square Garden to play the Knicks the time has not been announced but a 12 pm start is the expected time.
The Cavaliers will also play in another nationally televised game on January 19 which is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day when they host the world champion Oklahoma City Thunder that game will be broadcast on NBC/Peacock.
The Cavs will tip off Emirates Cup play on October 31 when they take on the Toronto Raptors at Rocket Arena.
The Cavs’ longest homestand will be six games which will stretch over 11 days from November 13-23. Cleveland’s longest road trip will be five games, and it will run from January 30 to February 9.
The Cavs will play on six holiday’s including Halloween, Christmas, New Years Eve, MLK Day, St. Patrick’s Day and Easter Sunday.
The Cavs’ busiest months will be November, January & March when they have 15 games in each of the three months.
Finally, the Cavs will have 14 dreaded back-to-back games..
